In Ayurveda, the menopausal syndrome is known as Rajonivrutti which means the end of the menstruation cycle i.e. monthly period cycle comes to an end. The natural transition generally occurs at the age of 45-55 years which is a biological process. A woman goes through many physical and emotional changes during this period. When the ovaries stop producing the hormones i.e. there is no longer release of an egg each month and to produce the female sex hormones Oestrogen and progesterone. Menopause can also be accompanied by any surgery such as the removal of ovaries due to oophorectomy, or removal of the uterus due to Dysfunctional uterine bleeding (DUB).
One of the vital menopause causes includes hormonal imbalance. Menopause also prevails when ovaries stop releasing eggs, or oestrogen and other reproductive hormones start declining.
Excessive consumption of alcohol and smoking acts as an open invitation to early and complicated menopause. These substances deliver several negative influences on ovarian ageing and follicle reserve.
Whenever you are under stress, your body releases several stress hormones that may adversely affect your reproductive ability, thus serving as prominent early menopause causes.
